Karlevistenen

Karlevistenen på Öland räknas som en av Sveriges märkligaste runstenar. Den står i en åker, helt nära stranden intill Kalmar Sund. Runstenen hyllar den danske hövdingen Sibbe Foldarsson, som begravdes på platsen. Runsten är från omkring år 1000 e.kr.

Inskriften avslutas med en dikt:

"Dold ligger den som de största dåd följde - det visste de flesta - ´stridernas Truds arbetare´ i denna hög. Ej skall en rättrådigare kampstark ´vagn - Vidur´ på sjökonungens väldiga mark råda över land i Danmark."


Karlevi Rune Stone

The Karlevi Rune Stone on Öland is considered one of Sweden's most remarkable rune stones. It stands in a field, close to the beach next to Kalmar Sund. The rune stone celebrates the Danish chieftain Sibbe Foldarsson, who was buried at the site. Rune stone is from about 1000 AD.

The inscription ends with a poem:

"Hidden is the one who followed the greatest deeds - most knew -" the warriors of the warriors "in this high. No more righteous battlefields 'Vidur' on the sailor's vast field prevail over Denmark."


Karlevi pierre runique

Le Karlevi pierre runique sur Öland est considéré comme l'une des pierres runiques les plus remarquables de Suède. Il se trouve dans un champ, près de la plage à côté de Kalmar Sund. La pierre runique bombarde le chef danois Sibbe Foldarsson, qui a été enterré sur le site. C'est pierre runique date d'environ 1000 AD.

L'inscription se termine par un poème:

"Caché est celui qui a suivi les plus grandes ctions - la plupart savaient -" les guerriers des guerriers "dans ce haut, plus de champs de bataille justes 'Vidur' sur le vaste champ du marin l'emporte sur le Danemark."
